New Chef, New Menu!

1877 Pasta and Wine Bar has a new Chef on board!

Michael Beltrame originally from Adelaide, joins us from the High Country near Mt Buller Ski Resort in Victoria where he had been operating his very own restaurant. He brings with him a wealth of culinary knowledge and experience having worked as Executive Chef's in hotels all over Australia.

His passion for Italian food stems from his Northern Italian heritage of Treviso in the Veneto region. He learnt to cook from his mother's and grand mother's recipes, some of which he still uses today.

Michael will be making sure the Pasta and Wine Bar name lives to its fullest. The new menu will see the introduction of fresh pasta made daily and the continuation of some already established customer favourites created by the Sfera family. An overhaul of the dessert menu and additions to the ever increasing trend for a Spuntini menu to be savoured and enjoyed on the summer terrace or inside at our bar tables.

The key focus will always be fresh food prepared daily from fresh ingredients.
